A solution for Jet 1014 mobile base

The Jet 1014 is a poplar lathe, but it lacks a mobile base. This is my solution for that question.

It's really a simple solution. The brackets are 2-inch angle stock, cut to length. They must be long enough to allow the casters to swivel freely. The casters can not be fixed, they must swivel. They also should be double locking (the wheel locks and the rotation locks) 3 inch casters. The bolts that attach the brackets to the lathe stand are the supplied stand adjustment bolts, using the supplied threaded base. The lathe is roughly 1 inch higher then factory, but the designed adjustments should help (I like the lathe high anyway).

The lathe does rock a little more with these casters, but it is rock steady when turning the small items I normally turn on this lathe.

I've created a woodturning community, mostly just because one should exist.

While the writeup talks about AAW, membership, or lack of, should not be a consideration in posting.
